Umbrella is a 100% cloud delivered solution, usually deployed and configured in under 30 minutes.

How do I manage Umbrella?


Umbrella is managed from a user-friendly dashboard.




How does Umbrella know what App’s my users are using?


Umbrella monitors all DNS requests that are being made from your network and devices. Therefore, Umbrella see what applications and sites users are on. This is pushed into an easy to read report in the Umbrella dashboard called App Discovery.




Can I pull reports from Umbrella?


Yes. You can set up daily, weekly or monthly reports to be as granular as you need.




Can Umbrella integrate with my Active Directory?


Yes. Umbrella will connect to your AD so all reporting is taken from the user.




Can someone help me install Umbrella


Yes, Imatik have engineers available to support the deployment of Cisco Umbrella, this is a chargeable service.




How do I cancel my subscription?


Just send an email to support@imatik.co.uk from the admin email that manages your Umbrella portal, and we will turn the service off.




How reliable is Umbrella’s global network?


Umbrella has a highly resilient network that boasts 100% uptime since 2006. Using Anycast routing, any of the 30 plus data centers across the globe are available using the same single IP address, so requests are transparently sent to the nearest, fastest data center and failover is automatic. Umbrella peers with more than 800 of the world’s top internet service providers.

Will Umbrella slow my connection down?


No, Umbrella will do the opposite. Due to the number of data centres Cisco Umbrella has globally, in most cases your DNS resolutions are faster.




I have an umbrella trial, direct from Cisco. Is this an issue?


No. Once you have purchased your subscription, email support@imatik.co.uk and let us know, we'll migrate the trial configurations into your paid subscription.
